Thanksgiving Community Supported Bread Program

Seminary Hill Farm is excited to announce the start of our Community Supported Bread Program just in time for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. The professional baker of the Seminary Hill Farm Kitchen, Sarah Black, will create a menu of three breads for you to choose from this November holiday. Each of these artisan breads are made with local grains and will make the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving meal. Whether you are looking for a crowd-pleasing contribution to bring to your family’s meal or hoping to find something that celebrates the artisan craft of bread baking, our community supported bread program will have something for you. This Thanksgiving, you can fill your kitchen with the comforting smell of baked bread in minutes and have something delicious to truly celebrate and enjoy.

One Pound Round of Whole Wheat, Rye and Honey with Turkey Stencil

Distribution Date: November 20, Tuesday, 4-7 pm

Our one pound round of whole wheat, rye and honey is a hearty bread with a moist and delicious crumb. It will serve four to to six guests and is stenciled with a turkey image. It is the perfect hostess gift for holiday parties. For best results, we ask that you reheat this loaf for 10-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven.

Signature Three Pound Sectioned Round of Whole Wheat, Rye, and Honey

Distribution Date: November 20, Tuesday, 4-7 pm

Our signature three pound sectioned round of whole wheat, rye and honey is made for a large family and friend gathering. This loaf can be cut into 15-18 slices. This versatile bread is perfect for toast on Thanksgiving morning, sliced for Thanksgiving dinner, or layered with turkey and your favorite sandwich toppings for a healthy and delicious after dinner turkey sandwich.

12 Ounce Epi Wreath

Distribution Date: November 21, Wednesday, 4-7 pm 

Our 12 ounce epi wreath made from our country white bread is a light and ethereal bread that is “passed, pulled-apart and shared” at the Thanksgiving table. It will serve from six to eight guests and is best reheated for 10-12 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
